David Hilderley is the Liberal candidate for Oxford in the upcoming federal by-election.
A long-time resident of Oxford County, David Hilderley has been active in our community as a dedicated volunteer, retired teacher and principal, and successful real estate agent.
For years, David has been well known for his community involvement and engagement. David spent 34 years serving as a teacher, consultant, vice-principal and principal in the Oxford County and Thames Valley District School Boards, supporting children and families in his home community.
Since retiring from education, David’s passion to serve families in his community has not gone away. As the chair of the Golden Gala, co-chair of the South Gate Centre, and previous board member of the Woodstock Art Gallery, David has played a role in many local initiatives that benefit the residents of Oxford.
David continues to live in his home community of Woodstock with his wife Patrice. He is the father of three children and the grandfather to eight beloved grandchildren.
David is running to become the next Member of Parliament for Oxford to bring effective local representation to Ottawa, and to advocate for the needs of Oxford residents. A lifelong resident, David is ready to serve the community that he has seen grow and evolve into what it is today.
As Member of Parliament, David will work with the Liberal team to keep Canada moving forward and continue to make life more affordable, deliver clean air and a strong economy, make housing more affordable, and deliver on the priorities that matter most to the residents of Oxford and all Ontarians.
